We are days away from the kickoff of high school football on the South Shore , and defensive players from each school are hungry to shut down opposing offenses.
From tenacious linebackers, to physical pass rushers and run stoppers upfront, and ballhawks in the secondary, the region has playmakers at every position on the defensive side.
Below are 39 names of defensive players we are looking at to potentially have big seasons this fall. Names of the players were gathered through a form sent out to coaches by the Enterprise staff, in addition to attending preseason training camps.
Voting will end on Tuesday, Sept. Sept. 10
