Two Southern Maryland men are dead after a fatal double shooting at a car meetup in Accokeek.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.

The victims are identified Sheldon Proctor, 48, of Waldorf and Patrick Savoy, 55, of Charlotte Hall, according to a release from the Prince George’s County Police Department.

On June 13 at approximately 11:45 p.m., Prince George’s officers responded to a shooting at a car meet up in a shopping center parking lot in the 7000 block of Berry Road.

When officers arrived, they located Proctor and Savoy suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both pronounced dead on the scene, the release says.

A third victim, an adult male, was also shot. His injuries are not considered life-threatening. By the time officers arrived, he had already left the scene and drove himself to a hospital for treatment, according to the release.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Detectives are actively working to determine a motive and identify any suspects.
