In preparation for the 2024-2025 school year, Martin County Schools announced additional moves among assistant principals.

These moves are designed to utilize the administrators’ strengths to best benefit student growth and achievement.

Kelvin Chadwick, previously the assistant principal at South Creek Elementary School, will be an assistant principal shared by Rodgers Elementary School and Jamesville Elementary School for the coming school year.

“Mr. Chadwick brings a love for children that translates to any location,” according to Martin County Schools Superintendent Dr. Michelle White. “His experience will be an asset to both Mr. Pake (Jamesville Elementary School) and Mrs. Manning (Rodgers Elementary School) which will, in turn, benefit our students.”

This move will take Chadwick back to his initial MCS assignment, which was at Rodgers Elementary School in 2017.

He served the district as assistant principal at South Creek Elementary School from 2018 until mid-way of 2021. He was briefly assigned to Riverside High School and returned to South Creek Elementary School in October of 2021.

Tara Woodard, who spent her first year in the district as an assistant principal at Riverside Middle School, will take Hudson’s previous position at E.J. Hayes Elementary School.

“Mrs. Woodard brings a wealth of experience in the elementary school setting, as well as a license in curriculum and instruction that will be a tremendous asset to our staff and students,” explained Dr. White. Her background and areas of licensing, combined with what she learned at the middle school level last year, make her poised to be a tremendous asset to the entire E.J. Hayes community.”
