River Road apartments get final approval

Two seven-story apartment complexes are set to be built east of River Road in West Lafayette.

The Tippecanoe County Area Plan Commission approved the development of the buildings at its Wednesday meeting.

APC Executive Director David Hittle said the complexes, which will have riverfront access, will be used for both residential and commercial purposes.

Snowy Owl Commons

The APC board also approved the development of Snowy Owl Commons, a planned retirement residential community on the south side of Lafayette.

There will be 50 two-bedroom units across 9.5 acres, the development’s petitioner said during the meeting.
