The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette will hold its annual Art on the Wabash festival on Sep. 29, featuring artists from 15 different local counties.

A vendor fair and an art exhibition will be at the event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 102 S. 10th Street, Lafayette.

“An independent juror has selected artists from our region to fill booths with their creative works for sale in a variety of mediums,” including woodwork, jewelry, photography and glasswork, according to the event’s website.

Admission and parking will both be free this year as a result of numerous sponsorships for the event.

Visitors will not only be able to purchase works of art they like but will also be able to contribute to the People’s Choice Award, which will be presented to the piece of art with the most votes. Cash awards will also be given to the three best pieces in the show.

In the past, Art on the Wabash has hosted notable visitors such as former West Lafayette Mayor John Dennis and State Representative Sheila Klinker.
