Wilczek will headline the Presidential Lecture Series with his speech, “Our Strange Universe: What Is It? What Does It Mean?”

Wilczek plans to lecture on his groundbreaking research into the laws of nature and how they transform the understanding of our universe. He has pioneered the theoretical physics and quantum theory world, according to the email.

Wilczek won the 2004 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on nuclear matter and asymptotic freedom in the theory of strong interaction.

Purdue President Mung Chiang said Wilczek has a playful and philosophical spirit.

This marks the second time Wilczek has given a speech on campus. In 2012, he delivered his talk “Quantum Beauty” as a part of the university’s Hubert M. James Lecture Series.

The event is free to attend, but a general admission ticket is required.
