Lafayette man allegedly pulled gun on children
A Lafayette man allegedly pulled a gun on a child in a parking lot on Thursday. According to the probable cause affidavit filed Friday, 40-year-old David Medina was sitting in a white SUV with the driver’s side door partially open when a group of kids approached his vehicle curiously after allegedly seeing guns in his car.

A Lafayette man was charged with rape and sexual battery Wednesday afternoon after allegedly attempting to forcibly pull down the victim’s pants and perform oral sex. Officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of an alleged sexual assault at a business on Union Street April 17, according to the probable cause affidavit.
