    Zoe Dorsey is your 910Preps Athlete of the Week after four-championship weekend

    High school sports remain alive and well for Fayetteville teams participating in the postseason with Terry Sanford baseball advancing to the NCHSAA 3A East regionals, and Cape Fear soccer pushing to the third round of the 3A East playoffs. Among NCISAA programs, Freedom Christian softball has reached the state finals series.

    Four athletes graced this week's 910Preps Athlete of the Week poll for their performances in the state playoffs last week. 1,815 votes were cast and Fayetteville Academy's Zoe Dorsey ran away with the votes. Dorsey tallied 1,485 of the votes (81.8%) after winning four NCISAA Division III track championships for the Eagles over the weekend. The senior won in the 100-meter (12.12), 200-meter (24.80), 400-meter (55.24), and the 800-meter (2:14.03).

    Jayda Angel, Cape Fear - Angel, the two-sport star has excelled in the first two rounds of the soccer playoffs with two hat tricks so far. The Elon basketball commit racked up seven total goals on the week that resulted in 15 points to lead the Colts to the third round of the playoffs, the program's deepest-ever postseason run.

    Rylan Miller, Freedom Christian - Miller was dynamic in the Patriots' first game in the NCISAA playoffs after a double-bye to open the postseason. The Marshall commit pitched a shutout behind 14 strikeouts and was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run.

    Brent Smith, Terry Sanford - Smith has undoubtedly been the best slugger for the Bulldogs in the playoffs this season. He's homered in three consecutive games, including a homer vs. Orange and a grand slam while going 3-for-4 with five RBIs vs. Lee County.
