All-conference softball teams from the United 8 and All American conferences have been announced, and they include more than 40 players from Fayetteville.

The NCHSAA playoffs have reached regional finals, but all of the U8 and AAC squads have been eliminated. Cape Fear went the furthest among Fayetteville-area teams with a third-round loss to Havelock.

In the All American Conference, Triton swept the regular-season and tournament championships while Lumberton took the United 8 regular-season championship over Cape Fear, which won the league tournament.
