ECU baseball a No. 1 seed in 2024 NCAA Tournament, will host Greenville Regional

East Carolina baseball is a No. 1 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

The Pirates (43-15) will open against No. 4 Evansville (35-23) in the Greenville Regional on Friday. No. 2 Wake Forest (38-20) and No. 3 VCU (37-21) are also in the regional.

The Greenville Regional is paired with the Knoxville Regional, which includes No. 1 overall seed Tennessee, Northern Kentucky, Indiana and Southern Miss. The winners of the two regionals will play in the super regional round for a spot in Omaha.

ECU remains in search of its first trip to the College World Series

Regionals take place Friday through Monday. The winners of those double-elimination brackets will advance to the super regional round, a best-of-three series, from June 7-10.

The College World Series begins June 14 in Omaha.
