Hi foodies,

Recently, I've been highlighting the surprising places to find amazing food and drinks in the small towns around Cumberland County in a series called Small Town Treasures.

Today, I published a story about The Buggy Factory in Carthage , especially the new restaurant's rich history, talented women-led team, and of course, wonderful pizza, brunch and cocktails. It's free to read — be sure to check it out.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday there late last month, and I'm sure we'll be back soon. We had a few drinks at the downstairs speakeasy, and ate Korean fried chicken wings and a classic pepperoni pizza upstairs in the restaurant. We had a blast!

Here's a look at The Buggy Factory's weekly events:

Tuesday: Line dancing, bar service, and this month only, get a pizza and a pint for $20

Wednesday-Saturday: Lunch sandwiches buy one, get one half price

Friday and Saturday: Live music on the outdoor stage

Sunday: Brunch and live bluegrass band

The restaurant is also hosting a festival later this month. I will give y'all the details as it gets closer!
