    Sing your heart out: Top karaoke spots in Fayetteville for a fun night on the town

    Want to bring your singing voice to a karaoke night in Fayetteville?

    Whether you plan to release your inner rockstar or just sing along to your favorite tunes, several bars around the city give locals a chance to grab the mic and take center stage.

    From cozy, laid-back spots to lively clubs with energetic crowds, there are a few Fayetteville-owned hangouts where you can flex your vocal cords.

    Here’s a sampling of the Fayetteville bars that offer karaoke — no talent required.

    The Sand Trap

    The Sand Trap, a longtime bar off Raeford Road, hosts karaoke from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, attracting a diverse crowd who sing Disney mashups, country ballads and ‘90s hits.

    White Rabbit Pub

    Self-proclaimed “friendliest bar in Fayetteville,” the White Rabbit Pub on Fort Bragg Road hosts karaoke at 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 p.m. on Sunday. A series of themed karaoke nights on the first Sunday of each month kicks off Sept.1 with emo night.

    R&B hits, pop and hip-hop songs are crowd-pleasers at Cheers Too, a small bar on Raeford Road that tends to host a younger crowd. Karaoke starts at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

    Charley’s Pub

    At 8:30 p.m. Friday, karaoke takes the stage at Charley’s Pub — a dog-friendly downtown watering hole with pool tables, a dance floor and a patio.

    Paddy’s Irish Pub

    Paddy’s Irish Pub, a longtime fixture of Fayetteville’s nightlife on Raeford Road with funky decor and tons of special events, hosts Kilted Karaoke, in which the host wears a kilt, at 10 p.m. Wednesday nights and karaoke at 9:30 p.m. Thursday nights. A few sips of the pub’s signature beer might help you find your singing voice.

    Thee Backdoor Sports and Spirits

    Thee Backdoor, hidden behind the Subway restaurant in the Sycamore Square shopping center on Bragg Boulevard, is a haunt frequented by hospitality industry insiders. The sports bar hosts karaoke at 9 p.m. on Tuesday nights.
