Rashad Dockery had a huge night for South View as the Tigers lit up visiting Durham Riverside 48-0 on Friday.

The senior running back posted 235 rushing yards with three touchdowns as the Tigers (2-1) shut out the visiting Pirates (1-2) and piled up 414 all-purpose yards. More than half of that offensive production came from Dockery, who averaged 11.8 yards per carry with a long run of 27 yards on his first TD scamper of the night. He added touchdown scores on runs of 22 and 8 yards for the hat trick a week after scoring a pair of touchdowns in a 25-21 win over Hoke County.

Dockery is the first Cumberland County back to crack 200 yards rushing in a game this season, reminiscent of his predecessor Christian Rutledge , who owns the school record for single-game rushing yards with the 306 he put up in a 62-14 win over Gray's Creek last year. Rutledge, now on Shaw's roster, led the United 8 Conference and ranked No. 8 in the state in 4A with 1,730 yards rushing in 2023, proving the value of South View's O-line.

Xavier Walker (22-yard run) and Cristian Simmons (3) also ran for Tiger touchdowns. Junior quarterback Malyk Mclean completed one pass attempt, and it went for a 13-yard TD to Nesen Campbell to put South View up 21-0 in the first quarter.

The Tigers added three more TDs before halftime on a Dockery run, Walker's run, and Jayden Jenkins returned a blocked punt 15 yards to put South View up 42-0 at the break.

    • Trinity Christian 40, North Wake 0 — Wake Forest commit Elijiah Oehlke threw five touchdown passes — including two each to Xayden Watson and Charlotte commit Fonzy Smith — as the Crusaders rolled to 2-1. Junior Paul Hayes Jr. also scored for Trinity, cleanly blocking a punt and then recovering the ball in the end zone to put the Crusaders up 25-0 late in the second quarter. Lavarion Peoples also caught one of Oehlke's TD passes. Trinity plays at Fayetteville's Sandhills Titans next Friday.
