    These restaurants opened in the Fayetteville area in September, plus what's coming soon

    September was a busy month on the Fayetteville food scene, with at least 10 new restaurants opening in Fayetteville, Hope Mills and Fort Liberty.

    Openings range from popular fast-food chains to a coffee shop to a Filipino restaurant.

    Several more openings are on the horizon for October and November, including a highly anticipated Korean hot pot chain at Cross Creek Mall. And at least one locally owned spot will be closing soon.

    Here's a look at what opened, what's closing and what's coming soon in Cumberland County.

    La Patrona Bar & Grill in Hope Mills: Open

    La Patrona Bar & Grill relocated from Lumberton to Hope Mills early last month, according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page .

    The Mexican restaurant opened Sept. 5 at 3041 N. Main St. in Hope Mills.

    Siren's By Allie: Open

    Siren's by Allie, a speakeasy-style "feminine and sexy" hangout at Anchor Allie's , opened Sept. 7.

    Owner Allie Stephens says the 40-seat Siren's is for people 21 and older and is great for a date or girls' night out. It's located at 1204 Bragg Blvd. in Fayetteville.

    Chick-fil-A: Open

    The long-awaited Chick-fil-A at 1105 Murchison Road opened Sept. 9.

    Located the Fayetteville State University-owned Bronco Midtown shopping plaza, it's the chain's eighth location in Fayetteville.

    Dirty Myrtle Wing Company: Open

    A Myrtle Beach, South Carolina chicken wing spot opened in Fayetteville on Sept. 10.

    Dirty Myrtle Wing Company serves wings in 36 house-made flavors at its 3,600-square-foot restaurant at 2918 Bragg Blvd.

    Kusinera Filipino Cuisine: Open

    Kusinera Filipino Cuisine opened Sept. 14 at 3047 Legion Road in Fayetteville., the former site of the Crab du Jour seafood restaurant.

    Owner Esperanza "Nanette" Thomas, who leads the kitchen, says the eatery's name is the Tagalog word for woman chef.

    Clutch Coffee Bar: Open

    North Carolina coffee chain Clutch Coffee Bar opened its first of two Fayetteville locations on Sept. 21.

    The drive-thru coffee shop is located at 3619 Ramsey St.

    Breakfast with Tiffany: Open

    Breakfast with Tiffany, a downtown breakfast and brunch spot, held a soft opening Sept. 21 at 229 Hay St. in Fayetteville.

    Owner Antonio Gonzalez told The Fayetteville Observer that early favorites include chicken and waggles and steak eggs.

    The second of three planned Fort Liberty Potbelly Sandwich Shops opened Sept. 24 at 3905 Honeycutt Road.

    Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers: Open

    Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened Sept. 25 just outside the Hope Mills town limits.

    Located at 2860 Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville, this is the midwestern fast-food chain's second Cumberland County location. The first one is at 4825 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville.

    Fort Liberty's first Chipotle opened Monday at 5460 Gruber Road.

    Bright Light Brewing Co.: Closing soon

    Downtown staple Bright Light Brewing Company will close this month , its owners announced in a Facebook post last month.

    The locally owned brewery, located at 444 W. Russell St. in Fayetteville, will cease operations "on or around" Oct. 25, according to the post.

    Kissoul: Coming soon

    A locally owned ice cream shop inspired by New York City desserts is set to open in October at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville.

    Located in the mall food court, Kissoul will specialize in eye-catching ice cream, egg waffles and Instagram-worthy drinks.

    Culver's: Coming soon

    Culver's, a fast-food chain beloved for its butter burgers, cheese curds and frozen custard, is set to open Oct. 14.

    The Wisconsin-based hamburger chain will be located at 3320 S. Peake Drive in Hope Mills.

    KPot BBQ & Hot Pot: Coming soon

    The eagerly awaited KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is expected to open in October at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, the franchise partner told The Fayetteville Observer last month.

    Work began about a year ago at 419 Cross Creek Mall near the Macy's west entrance.

    Caribou Coffee: Coming soon

    National chain Caribou Coffee, founded in Minnesota, plans to open its first Cumberland County location in November.

    General manager Jordan MacGregor told The Fayetteville Observer in August that the coffee shop is expected to open in November at 5837 Lakewood Drive in Hope Mills.
