Interesting fact: This is an actual picture that was taken during my visit to Chesser Island in South Georgia. I then turned it into a digital oil painting and was amazed at how well it turned out. If you haven't visited this historic place, you should. It's a great way to catch a glimpse of how people used to live in Georgia and work the land.

There I am, hiding in the tree. Just like your pet cat, I am very good at climbing trees. Many people think I prefer trees. However, I actually like to be on the ground most of the time. I mainly climb trees to escape predators and hunt.

Did you know I can run up to 30mph and am a distant cousin of the cheetah, the fastest cat in the world?

I am the only wild cat species native to Georgia and can be found statewide, including in South Georgia.
