The Florida High School Athletic Association moves into the regional final stage for high school girls lacrosse on Friday. All schedules are as listed by the FHSAA but are subject to change.

    REGION 1-2A

    Lake Mary (16-5) at Bartram Trail (15-5), 7 p.m.

A big one in St. Johns County. The Bears, shooting for their third straight title , include perennial Miss Lacrosse contender Ryann Frechette, who keeps on adding to her staggering scoring totals. Plus, Maddie Stevens ranks among Northeast Florida's best in the net. Lake Mary, though, is always tough, a young team with senior leadership from Alabama-Huntsville commit Macey Tarbox (23 goals, 12 assists). The teams split the 2023 series and didn't meet this year. The winner advances to a May 10 state semifinal at Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, against an opponent to be determined once the FHSAA re-seeds the final four based on its ranking formula.

    REGION 1-1A

    Episcopal (12-7) at Ponte Vedra (13-7), 7 p.m.

First Coast giants collide at the Shark Tank. Seasoned seniors Lily Toole and Lily Mosser combine in attack for Ponte Vedra, which also has numerous quality young players like Aubrey Schmidt, Lamb Toole and new goalie Lexie Rupp. Episcopal is even younger and very dangerous. Junior Maeve O'Neil and sophomore Brooke McCoy have both topped the 50-goal mark, while freshman midfielders Payten Cree and Georgia Tuttle are forcing turnovers in bunches and also scoring goals. Ponte Vedra won this matchup 15-12 in March, including six goals from Mosser. The winner advances to the state semifinals on May 10 in Naples, with the opponent to be determined.
