Jacksonville Jaguars have expensive beer prices but affordable experience at home games

By Tim Walters, Jacksonville Florida Times-Union,

The Jacksonville Jaguars are about to host their 2024 home opener Sunday at 1 p.m. against the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium.

The Jaguars lost their season opener at the Miami Dolphins, 20-17.

It’s going to be a warm, humid and potentially rainy day.

Some fans may want to quench their thirst with a cold, refreshing beer.

If they do, they better be prepared to pay.

NJ.bet, a sportsbook and online casino comparison site, looked at data for all 30 NFL stadiums (32 teams) and found EverBank Stadium has the fourth-most expensive beer price in the NFL.

The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers are tied for most expensive, with their cheapest beer price $12.00.

The Philadelphia Eagles are next at $11.50.

The Jaguars clock in at 1 cent cheaper than Philly, at $11.49, which is $2.69 more than the league average of $8.80.

The Chicago Bears, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers are $11.00. (Note, the Chargers and Rams share SoFi Stadium).

    It’s not all bad, however.

After fans factor in a general admission ticket ($102.22), parking ($41.97), a hot dog ($7.29) and a beer ($11.49), a Jaguars game experience will cost fans $162.97. That puts them at No. 16 on the least affordable list.

The league average is $167.49, so the Jags are slightly ahead of the curve.

San Francisco is listed at No. 1 ($227.66), Philadelphia is No. 2 ($213.51) and Las Vegas is no. 3 ($212.81).

Given the Jags' average costs are roughly $60 cheaper than the most expensive stadium, maybe you’d consider more than one beverage. Just make sure you have a designated driver.
