The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed cornerback Tyson Campbell on the injured reserve list, the team announced on Thursday .

Campbell sustained a hamstring injury against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and will miss a minimum of four weeks as a result of being placed on IR.

The team promoted cornerback Tre Flowers to the active roster and signed safety Andre Chachere to the practice squad in corresponding moves.

Campbell signed a four-year extension worth $76.5 million this offseason, tying him to the team for the foreseeable future. The deal came after soft tissue injuries ravaged his 2023 campaign and kept him sidelined for six games.

On Monday, head coach Doug Pederson said he didn't want to put Campbell in a box and he said they hadn't made a decision on whether to place Campbell on IR on Wednesday .

Thursday's moves implies the team will rely on cornerbacks Buster Brown and rookie Jarrian Jones to carry some of Campbell's weight.

Flowers holds the experience edge over both corners, but will likely be brought in as a reserve player along with rookie De'Antre Prince .
