Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns game day fan guide: Activities, schedule, parking

The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing a home regular-season game for the first time in 259 days.

After Sunday, they won’t be playing another game in Duval for another three weeks.

With a schedule front-loaded with road games and the two-week trip to London on October, the Jaguars ’ home opener on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns (1 p.m., CBS) will be the first of only two home games in Jacksonville for the first seven weeks of the season.

The last time the Jags played at home was the only bright spot of the second half of the season, a 26-0 victory over the Carolina Panthers. C.J. Beathard started at quarterback in place of the injured Trevor Lawrence that day, so Lawrence hasn’t played a home regular season game in 273 days, going back to a 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

    Welcome to TrEverBank Stadium

Lawrence’s first home game in more than nine months will be celebrated by the rebranding of the home of the Jaguars to “TrEverBank Stadium,” symbolizing the sponsorship between Lawrence and EverBank, the company who holds the naming rights to the stadium.

EverBank and Lawrence announced the renaming on Thursday. Fans at the game will notice the signs marking it as “TrEverBank Stadium,” with giveaways and engagements planned.

The stadium will go back to its usual name for the next home game on Oct. 6 against Indianapolis.

    Jaguars mark Hispanic Heritage Game

The Jaguars will help celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of activities that began on Saturday when the Jaguars, Verizon and Feeding Northeast Florida held a food distribution to Hispanic families in need with the help of former Jags player Jorge Cordova, mascot Jaxson de Ville and the Roar.

Sunday's game will further mark the month beginning at 11 a.m. at the Fan Entertainment Zone on the Flex Field at Daily's Place. Cordova and former Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee will be available to sign autographs, along with an All Elite Wrestling Lucha Libre exhibition match. Performances will be held by the Roar, the Jaguars drum line and Jaxson de Ville.

Fans can take home a complimentary autographed limited-edition poster by local artist Winston Christopher which was created for the Hispanic Heritage Game and depicts a Jaguar with Latin influences.

During the game the Jaguars will recognize two high school athletes nominated for NFL Latino Youth Honors, Paola Cruz-Ramos of Crescent City High School and Harrison Garrido of Creekside High School. The two students will be greeted by Jaguars tight ends coach Richard Angulo as part of their recognition.

The Jaguars will also recognize 10 recipients of the “Achieving the Dream” scholarship, a $2,000 grant endowed by the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce through Community Development Fund to deserving Hispanic students from Northeast Florida.

    Cordova delivers first "Duuuval!"

Cordova, who played linebacker and defensive end for the Jaguars in 2006 and 2007, will give the first "Duuuval" before the game.

Cordova was a third-round draft pick in 2004 from Nevada and played in 15 games.
