Jaguars Wednesday injury report vs. Texans: Evan Engram, Houston's Tank Dell miss practice

The NFL doesn't slow down for anyone, including the Jacksonville Jaguars who landed back in the city at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning after the team plane experienced some mechanical issues following a 47-10 loss on Monday Night Football to the Buffalo Bills.

With practice taking place Wednesday, the team went lighter to re-acclimate to the week ahead against the Houston Texans. The team saw a slew of players go down with injuries Monday night and everyone listed on the injury report was either limited or didn't practice at all.

Last week, defensive back Darnell Savage (quad) and tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) were ruled out and four others, including right tackle Anton Harrison (knee), DB Jarrian Jones (shoulder), receiver Gabe Davis (shoulder) and linebacker Foye Oluokun (foot) left the game with injuries.

Let's dive into the injury reports for both teams as they head into Week 4.

Oluokun is reportedly suffering from plantar fasciitis in his foot and will likely miss this week's game as a result. NFL Media's Tom Pelissero said that Oluokun is liable to miss several weeks with the injury.

Pederson said Wednesday that Oluokun is not a candidate for injured reserve "at this point," so the implication is the team believes he could be available within the next three or four weeks.

Oluokun and Engram missed practice on Wednesday. Engram has missed the team's last two games of the season due to a hamstring injury suffered during warmups in Week 2.

“It'll be close, it'll be close, but again, a short week, I don't want to risk anything with Evan. We'll see [Wednesday] where he's at and go from there," Pederson said Tuesday.

Pederson added that the team should get Savage back this week. Savage has also missed the last two games with injury. He worked on a limited basis Wednesday.

Here's the full list of injuries for Jacksonville and their designations: Engram (hamstring, DNP), Oluokun (foot, DNP), Savage (quad, limited), running back Tank Bigsby (shoulder, limited), offensive lineman Cam Robinson (knee, limited), Davis (shoulder, limited), Harrison (knee, limited), Jones (shoulder, limited) and CB Montaric 'Buster' Brown (chest, limited).

The Texans are coming off an embarrassing loss, falling 34-7 to the Minnesota Vikings.

Houston was without running backs Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring) and starting center Jarrett Patterson (calf) last week due to injuries.

The headliner, though is receiver Tank Dell who is dealing with injuries to his chest, wrist and hand sustained during the team's loss last week. He did not practice for Houston on Wednesday.

Full Texans injury report: Mixon (ankle, DNP), Pierce (hamstring, DNP), Dell (chest, DNP), DL Foley Fatukasi (shoulder, DNP), OL Kenyon Green (illness, limited), Patterson (calf, limited), TE Dalton Schultz (ankle, limited) and DB Jimmie Ward (groin, limited).
