I'm not sure if I've ever met anyone who doesn't enjoy the 1989 classic baseball movie, " Major League ."

However, not as many are familiar with the sequel, " Major League II ."

So if you haven't seen it, there's an an exchange in the sequel that has great significance for the 2024 version of the Jacksonville Jaguars .

While addressing the team, gravely-voiced manager Lou Brown says this: "OK, we won a game yesterday. If we win today, it's called 'two in a row.' And if we win again tomorrow, it's called a 'winning streak'… It HAS happened before! So let's see some hustle! Let's jack it up a little! I got a feeling things are about to turn around for us."

If I were Doug Pederson, I'd be giving this speech to the Jaguars before their game in London against the Chicago Bears on Sunday .

He'd just need to amend a couple of words: "OK, we won a game last Sunday. If we win this Sunday, it's called 'two in a row.' And if we win next Sunday, it's called a 'winning streak'… It HAS happened before! So let's see some hustle! Let's jack it up a little! I got a feeling things are about to turn around for us."

GENE FRENETTE: Jaguars must button up increasingly alarming pass defense issues in London

If the Jaguars can give fans a second week in a row of offensive competence, and even a semblance of defensive prowess, they should be able to win both games in London.

The Bears are 3-2, but they haven't exactly faced the toughest schedule to date. The Jaguars are 1-4, and they're about to hit a manageable patch of their schedule.

The Bears are just a 2.5-point favorites heading into this game. It's really anybody's game.

Can the Jaguars' 2021 No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence outduel the Bears' 2024 No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams?

Let's see what our experts think.

I liked what I saw from Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville's offense against a Gus Bradley defense down a handful of starters. Given how the majority of their games have gone this year, I'm not sure they can repeat the same performance against a Bears defense that ranks in the top 10 in all major categories. Perhaps I'm proven wrong?

WELCOME BACK: Jaguars have Evan Engram (hamstring) back. How much can he help passing game?

    Season: 3-2

The Bears' defense will present a much stiffer challenge for the offense. Jags grind this one out behind Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne Jr. and win on another Cam Little last-second field goal.

    Season: 3-2

    Jaguars 24, Bears 23

The big advantage for the Jaguars should be Trevor Lawrence, after busting out of his slump against the Colts, playing in his fifth London game (he's 3-1) and this being a new experience for Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams. Then again, Chicago's defense is holding quarterbacks to an NFL-low 68.2 rating. This feels like a coin-flip.

    Season: 2-3

    GARRY SMITS

    Jaguars 24, Bears 19

The Jaguars have won three of their last four games in London and going across the pond seems to be a good tonic for them. Last year they lost two games in a row, flew to London, and beat Atlanta and Buffalo. In 2021 they started 0-5, then beat Miami. The issues on offense aren't hard to figure out. If Trevor Lawrence hits open receivers, it hums. Hopefully, the defense will be chagrined enough about last week's fourth quarter to make up for it.

    Season: 3-2

This might be a game where the team with the ball last wins.

Yes, the Bears are 3-2, but they've beaten the NFL's weaklings: the Titans, Rams and Panthers own a grand total of three wins. Here's a guess that the Jaguars will find just enough to keep their London record above .500. Maybe another Cam Little highlight?

    Season: 4-1

    Jaguars 24, Bears 13

The Bears' defense has really only faced one good offense in the Houston Texans, and they lost that game. Sure, the Bears beat the Rams, but they were missing their top 2 wide receivers (Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua) and their starting tight end (Tyler Higbee). If Trevor Lawrence can open another bottle of "whoop ass" like he did last week, I don't see this Bears defense stopping him and his new favorite weapon, Brian Thomas Jr. I also think Jacksonville's dynamic pass rush duo of Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen will make Caleb Williams look like a rookie as they chase him like " The Water Boy " did opposing QBs.

    Season: 2-3
