Jaguars vs. Patriots Thursday injury report: Travis Etienne (hamstring) works limited again

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne is at the forefront of both Jaguars and fantasy football fans' minds this week after the fourth-year back suffered a hamstring injury in the team's loss to the Chicago Bears.

On Wednesday, Etienne practiced limited, while the Jaguars received good news on right tackle Anton Harrison who is dealing with a knee injury. The only surprise on Wednesday's report for Jacksonville ahead of their game against the New England Patriots on Sunday is defensive end Arik Armstead who is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Etienne worked on a limited basis again on Thursday. Before suffering a hamstring injury, Etienne was working his way through a shoulder issue. He said last week that he feels good but has to " continue to push through the game ," because of it.

Etienne has carried the ball 56 times for 230 yards (4.1 yards per carry) and two touchdowns this season. He's caught 16 passes for 91 yards. In the last two weeks combined, Etienne has carried the ball just nine times for 16 yards, including a three-carry, -1-yard performance against the Bears last week. Etienne played in just 11 snaps, the second-lowest total of his career while healthy (five snaps vs. Baltimore Ravens in 2022).

Jacksonville's injury report for Thursday's practice is a carbon copy of yesterday's. No changes.

The Jaguars expect to get cornerback Tyson Campbell back sometime this week, but it remains to be seen. Campbell is designated to return and can be activated anytime.

Yesterday, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was a surprise addition to the team's Wednesday injury report. Maye has a knee injury and was listed as a full participant, but, according to the Boston Globe's Ben Volin, Maye was set to undergo an MRI, presumably to assess the injury.

Thursday, Maye was once again listed on the report as a full participant, so the injury may not impact his ability to suit up Sunday against the Jaguars. Still, with a full day (and night) of travel ahead of the Patriots, it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Additionally, Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson did not practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a foot injury. He missed last week's practices and the game against the Houston Texans.

Full Patriots Thursday injury report: Stevenson (foot, DNP), CB Marcus Jones (groin/illness, limited ), OT Vederian Lowe (ankle, DNP), CB Isaiah Bolden (hamstring, full ), S Kyle Dugger (ankle, limited), DT Davon Godchaux (elbow, full ), CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder, limited), G Michael Jordan (ankle, limited), S Marte Mapu (neck, full ), LB Sione Takitaki (knee, limited), CB Marco Wilson (groin, limited), LB Curtis Jacobs (knee, limited), WR Kendrick Bourne (knee, full), LS Joe Cardona (calf, full), LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder, full), Maye (knee, full), WR K.J. Osborn (shoulder, full)

Practice participation in italics indicates a change in the previous day's report.
