    Ingredients

    • 6 large eggs
    • 1 cup shrimp, shelled and deveined
    • 1 cup bean sprouts
    • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
    • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
    • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

    For the Gravy:

    • 1/2 cup chicken broth
    • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
    • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add the shrimp, bean sprouts, mushrooms, green onions, five-spice powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
    2. Cook the Egg Foo Young: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Pour in a portion of the egg mixture to form a small omelet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining egg mixture, adding more oil as needed.
    3. Make the Gravy: In a small saucepan, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens.
    4. Serve: Place the cooked egg foo young patties on a serving plate and drizzle with the gravy. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

    Conclusion
