    Middletown football preview: Last year's lessons seem to be sticking for hopeful Knights

    MIDDLETOWN — Middletown football’s miscues from a year ago were relatively easy to point out.

    Off the top of his head, Knights head coach Collin Delauter rattled off four moments that decided a loss to Linganore: two pick-sixes, and a pair of blown coverages that led to passing touchdowns. Those are the types of errors that dragged Middletown to an uncharacteristically mediocre regular season, featuring its first non-winning record since 2015 despite a run to the Class 2A-1A state quarterfinals.
