    Number of financially struggling Frederick County households fell in 2022, report shows

    The number of households struggling to afford basic necessities in Frederick County dropped by more than 3,900 homes, or by four percentage points, from 2021 to 2022, according to a new report from the United Way of Frederick County.

    The percentage of Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) households in the county decreased from 36% in 2021 to 32% in 2022.
