Popular bakery chain Paris Baguette is opening 2 new spots in Fresno. Here’s what we know

Did someone say “croissant”? A French-inspired bakery chain is coming to Fresno.

Paris Baguette plans to open two new shops at local retail centers next year.

“We wanted to open a Paris Baguette here in Fresno because that’s where our children grew up,” said Nikki Tulyag, who owns the new franchise locations with her husband, Anvar. “It’s home for us”

Nikki Tulyag said she first encountered Paris Baguette in the Bay Area.

“We were looking for a breakfast place to eat,” Tulyag recalled. “I went in, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I want one.’ Now, a couple years later, we are on our way. It’s very exciting, very exciting.“

What is Paris Baguette?

Paris Baguette is a French-inspired bakery café with South Korean roots.

According to its website, Paris Baguette opened its first café in the United States in 2005 in Los Angeles.

The rapidly growing company now has more than 180 locations in markets across the country.

“Paris Baguette’s primary mission is to provide guests with a warm, welcoming bakery café experience that creates joy for all,” the company said on its website.

The company hopes to have 1,000 locations open in the US by 2030.

Where are new Fresno restaurants?

Two new Paris Baguette locations are planned for Fresno.

One cafe will open its doors at 7959 North Blackstone Ave. at the Villagio Shopping Center, while the other will be at 6587 North Riverside Drive at the Marketplace at El Paseo shopping center.

Each cafe will have about 3,000 square feet with at least 30 or more employees, according to Anvar Tulyag.

When will Central Valley bake shops open?

Paris Baguette is scheduled to open on Blackstone Avenue in February 2025, while the Paris Baguette location on Riverside Drive is scheduled to open on June 2025.

What’s on the menu?

Paris Baguette’s menu includes cakes and pastries such as pain au chocolat, fruit pastries and cinnamon apple pies.

Seasonal offerings include pumpkin danish and a chocolate chiffon jack-o-lantern cake.

One customer favorite is the mixed berry soft cream cake, a vanilla cake with cream, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.

Anvar Tulyag’s favorite item on the menu is almond croissants filled with almond cream and topped with almond cream and sliced almonds.

His wife’s favorite dessert from Paris Baguette is a chocolate cake filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in chocolate ganache.

Paris Baguette also serves food options including salads, sandwiches, wraps and breakfast sandwiches.

Beverages on the bakery’s menu include a vanilla latte, capuccino and espresso, as well as an iced chai latte and a variety of frappe flavors.

Where are other California locations?

Paris Baguette has 58 locations in California, mostly concentrated in the Bay Area and Southern California.

In the Sacramento Valley, the chain has bake shops in Roseville and Sacramento.

When is Paris Baguette open?

Paris Baguette is open 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
