JACKSONVILLE — After a three-run second inning it looked like Westbrook Christian baseball was in control of game two of the Class 3A state title series, until they were not.

Thomasville exploded for 10 runs in the top of third and cruised to a 13-3 win over the Warriors. It sets up a deciding game three that will start around 12:45 p.m. at Jim Case Stadium in Jacksonville.

It will be a winner-take-all game for the Blue Map Trophy.

Thomasville used an inside-the-park home run to retake the lead in the top of the third. Braden Kay issued four straight walks before being pulled for Ben Morrison who allowed five more runs in the inning. In the end, 10 runs scored on only two hits — thanks to five walks and a hit batter, paired with two errors.

The second inning saw a few close calls go the Warriors' way, including the tying run that came on a bunt which scored allowed Brady Carden to score. His brother Cam Carden would bring in the next run before a controversial balk brought in the third and final run of the inning.
