Alabama high school football schedule Week 1: Every Gadsden-area AHSAA game

The Alabama high school football season has finally arrived after a long and blockbuster offseason.

There is plenty of action around the Gadsden area on Thursday and Friday, with 21 of the teams in action. Geraldine and Sardis renew an old Sand Mountain rivalry as Albertville and Gadsden City both playing on Thursday, as well. Friday's action is highlighted by four area-versus-area games headlined by the rivalry between Cherokee County and Piedmont. Southside-Guntersville , Etowah-Jacksonville and Spring Garden-Sand Rock also highlight Friday's action.

The AHSAA season officially gets started on Thursday.

Most of the Gadsden area football programs are available to stream on the NFHS Network. It is a subscription service that cost 11.99 but gives to access to all content on the site, across all sports so you can keep up with volleyball as well this fall.
