All Gardner-area high school teams are playing as they enter into Week 3 of the football season. There are a variety of matchups: some league clashes, other non-league opponents squaring off, teams still looking for a first win and others hoping to stay undefeated.

Be sure to check back at this page for coverage as games are played and results are added. Check out what these local teams are looking at for Week 3.

    What to look for

Narragansett and Gardner are both 2-0 and will look to remain undefeated. 'Gansett plays David Prouty, a team they have beat in past years. Gardner faces league opponent Ayer-Shirley, a matchup that could eventually have league title implications.

Monty Tech played last week with a new lineup after its starting quarterback, Dylan Hunton , tore his ACL and is out for the season. With another week under their belt, the Bulldogs can hopefully work out some of the issues with people in new places and get their first win.

Quabbin is 1-1 and is coming off a win so has positive energy going into Week 3. Oakmont took its first loss last week and is now 2-1. The Panthers are playing Quaboag and the Spartans are playing Marlborough.

Murdock is still searching for its first win and will face Littleton.
