    Latest Athlete of the Week poll highlighted by hat tricks and first place races

    Last week , readers voted Quabbin's Jacoby Dilling as the Athlete of the Week. Dilling scored two goals in the Panthers' boys soccer game against Littleton on September 26. He earned 70.46% of the poll for a total of 396 votes.

    Check out the latest top performances from Gardner-area athletes for the week of September 30-October 4 and vote for who you think should be this week's Athlete of the Week.

    Boys Soccer

    Gabe Carvalho, Gardner

    Carvalho scored twice in the Wildcats' 4-0 win over Quabbin on October 1.

    Girls Soccer

    Alyssa Allan, Monty Tech

    Allan notched a hat trick to propel the Bulldogs over Assabet on October 1. Katie Daykin added the other goal and Makayla Small had three assists in the 4-2 victory.

    Allie Lipiec, Quabbin

    Lipiec scored the Panthers' lone goal in a 1-0 win against Gardner on October 1.

    Field Hockey

    Randi Murphy and Pheona Carasquillo, Gardner

    The duo each scored a goal to lead the Wildcats over Oxford 2-1 on September 30.

    Mia Roberston, Narragansett

    Robertson scored a goal and tallied two assists in the Warriors' 5-0 victory over Gardner on October 3.

    Rachel Simkewicz, Oakmont

    The senior scored three goals in Oakmont's 4-4 tie against Marlborough on October 2. Emma Goodwin scored the other goal, and Maryl Hooper and Madylan Alves each tallied an assist.

    Farrah Wojcik, Quabbin

    The junior scored Quabbin's winning goal against Marlborough on September 30 to take a 2-1 victory. Makenzie Casey struck first off a corner in the second quarter and Veanna Salvadore added another for insurance in the fourth quarter.

    Girls Cross Country

    Krista Bettez, Gardner

    Bettez marked her fifth straight first-place finish in a meet against Clinton and South Lancaster. The Wildcats also earned their fifth team win.

    Dani Gaudreault, Quabbin

    Gaudreault finished second in a meet against Hudson, Assabet and Main South with a time of 21:46.

    Boys Cross Country

    Jayden Brostrom, Oakmont

    Brostrom placed third with a time of 15:35 in a cross country meet against Groton-Dunstable and North Middlesex. He helped pace the Spartans to an 18-41 win over North Middlesex on October 1.

    Sokari Jenkins, Gardner

    Jenkins took first place with a time of 16:43 in a meet against Clinton and South Lancaster on October 3. This first-place win marked his fifth of the season, making his individual record 5-0. The team also improved to 5-0 for the season.

    Golf

    Sydney Belliveau, Gardner

    Belliveau carded 44 to lift Gardner over Hudson in a match play competition on October 1.

    Max Doane, Oakmont

    Doane landed in the top 10 of individual scores in the Mid-Wach B Championship with a score of 82 on October 2.

    Cullan White, Quabbin

    White shot a 1-under 34 to help Quabbin to a 30-24 victory against Littleton on October 1.
