Softball

Sara Rose Warlick, Crest: Hit a solo home run in the Chargers’ 3-1 loss to Piedmont.

Desiree Green, Kings Mountain: Had a hit and scored the only run in a 1-0 win over Foard to advance in the NCHSAA 3A state playoffs.

Maddie Huffman, Kings Mountain: Struck out 17, allowing no runs on three hits in hurling a complete game.

Girls soccer

Harmoni Carter, Mountain Island Charter: Had a goal and an assist in a 7-1 win over Highland Tech.

Tiniyah Carter, Mountain Island Charter: Scored two goals and had an assist.

Eden Lewis, Mountain Island Charter: Had a goal and an assist.

Mia Lor, Mountain Island Charter: Scored two goals and had three assists.

Cheyenne Painter, Mountain Island Charter: Scored a goal.

MacKenzie Crill, South Point: Scored a goal and assisted on another in the Lady Raiders’ 4-0 win over Oak Grove.

Phoebe Smith, South Point: Scored a goal.

JyiYanna Watkins, South Point: Scored a goal.

Baseball

Parker Anderson, Cherryville: Was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored in an 8-2 win oat Draughn.

Davin Digh, Cherryville: Had two hits.

Kenan Fowler, Cherryville: Was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Eli Newsome, Cherryville: Pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits with 13 strikeouts.

Brayden Reynolds, Cherryville: Was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Bryson Withers, Cherryville: Was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

Monday, May 14

Baseball

Marshall McGowan, Burns: Hit a three-run homer and a grand slam as part of an 8-1 win over Bandys.

Colby Putnam, Burns: Pitched a complete game, allowing a run on two hits with 14 strikeouts.

Meridian Leffew, Gaston Christian: Hit a solo home run and scored another in a 6-4 loss to Grace Christian.

Aaron Main, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Softball

Bailey Livengood, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 7-6 win over Grace Christian.

Katie Muchesko, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with a triple, RBI and two runs scored.

Ciara Nanney, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Brooklyn Cheatham, Highland Tech: Scored a goal in a 5-0 win over Murphy.

Avery Davis, Highland Tech: Scored a goal and assisted on another.
