    Obituary – John Wesley Henderson

    John Wesley Henderson, a resident of Greenville, passed away on Monday, July 15, at the age of 85.

    Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 21, beginning at 2 p.m. at Antioch East Baptist Church with Reverend Ronnie Boulware officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until service time.

    Wesley was preceded in death by his wife, Reebie Jo Henderson; parents, C.B. and Eunice Henderson; sisters, Marie Henderson, Mary Archer and Sara Shumway Harrison; brothers, Ed Henderson, Jack Henderson, Conrad Henderson, Charles Henderson, Hubert Henderson and Phillip Henderson; brothers-in-law, Dale Norris and Ralph Thompson.

    He is survived by his children, Louise (Alvin) Sullivan and Raymond (Judi) Henderson; grandchildren, Will Henderson and Shelby Sullivan; great grandchildren, Conley Henderson and Brynlee Henderson; brother, Wayne (Bonnie) Henderson; sisters-in-law, Velecia Norris and Frances Henderson, along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

    Wesley was married to the love of his life, Reebie Jo, for 65 years. He was a faithful member of Antioch East Baptist Church and loved serving there. He was a dedicated employee with Contanier/Smurfit for 42 years. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Antioch East Baptist Church, 2303 Old Stage Road, Greenville, Alabama 36037.
