The Georgiana Opry House is set to host a special event in August, partnering with Nashville’s Grace Records to showcase live performances by Riley Austin, Robbie Cockrell, Michael Ray Fain and J.C. James.

Grace Records CEO Debbie Bennett will emcee and also perform at the Aug. 3 event. Doors open at 4 p.m., and the show starts at 5 p.m.

“I founded Grace Records in May of 2023 and now we have 32 artists,” Bennett said. “God is just opening doors left and right. This will be the first of hopefully many events with the Opry House.”

Bennett expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the potential she sees in the Georgiana Opry House.

“I can really see the Opry House becoming like Alabama’s Ryman Auditorium,” Bennett said. “The Ryman is great, but it’s switching to a more rock and roll type country. A lot of people like me still love that old country sound. I miss that sound from people like Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams…Conway Twitty.”

The Ryman Auditorium, a historic performance venue in Nashville, is best known as the original home of the Grand Ole Opry. Bennett said she believes that the Georgiana Opry House has the potential to capture the essence of traditional country music that many fans cherish.

Georgiana Opry House owner Tracy Eason is equally excited about the partnership.

“Grace Records is a Nashville-based recording label that we’ve worked closely with,” Eason said. “Our recent talent showcase winner just recorded a single with them. They really appreciate that kind of classic country sound.”

Eason emphasized the importance of the event providing exposure for local independent artists.

“They’ve worked with quite a few artists from this area like Riley Austin,” Eason said. “It’s just a great way to get some of these talented independent artists from the area some exposure.”

The event is family-friendly, and tickets can be purchased at the Georgiana Opry House website, https://www.georgianaopryhouse.com/event-details-registration/country-grace.
