A dramatisation of a disturbing true story : in 2017, 20-year-old British model Chloe Ayling was kidnapped in Milan on her way to a shoot. She awoke, drugged and tied up, in the boot of a car and was taken to a remote farmhouse. The kidnapper, Lukasz Herba, demanded €300,000 for her release and threatened to sell her into sex slavery. This series has been made with the blessing of Ayling herself and stars Nadia Parkes in the lead. Phil Harrison

The lightweight but amusing Danny Dyer vehicle concludes with Lee (Dyer) on the run and Glen and Kirsty in a hole. Someone has emptied their bank account and their wedding is in jeopardy. Much as he’s tried to avoid it, Glen is going to have to get involved in his brother’s dodgy business. But all isn’t quite as it seems. PH

Film Choice

Daughters (Natalie Rae, Angela Patton, 2024), Netflix
Natalie Rae and Angela Patton’s documentary is an inspirational tale, but it’s also a bit of a heartbreaker. It follows Patton’s own Date With Dad programme in the US, which allows incarcerated fathers to attend a dance in prison with their young daughters. We follow the lead-up to an event in Washington DC, from the point of view of Aubrey, five, Santana, 10, Ja’Ana, 11, and Raziah, 15. Their convict dads must complete a 10-week course that digs down into their history and responsibilities as parents. It’s tough love, but 95% of the men who take part do not reoffend. The aftermath for the girls is more mixed, but it’s remarkable how one day together can change lives. Simon Wardell
