    • An editing error led an article to refer to “Hamas’s massacre of about 1,200 civilians in southern Israel”. While most of those killed were civilians, some were military personnel ( Survivors of strike on school describe horrific aftermath , 12 August, p22). This error also appeared in a blogpost quoting the article ( Israel-Gaza war: Israel issues massive evacuation order in Khan Younis – as it happened , 11 August).

    • Louise Haigh is the MP for Sheffield Heeley, not Sheffield Hallam ( Haigh signals multi-year funds to build active travel network , 20 August, p9).
