    • An article about Alain Delon said estimates of the value of the French actor’s estate varied wildly “between €50m and €300m (£58m and £352m)”. The conversion rate was muddled during editing; the actual sterling value is between £43m and £256m ( ‘He didn’t play the star here’… , 19 August, p9).

    • Benito Mussolini was born in the small Italian town of Predappio, not Milan ( ‘I want audiences to be seduced’ , 17 August, p3).
