The first three corrections are published in the Guardian’s print edition on 7 September 2024

    • The lobbying company Arden Strategies sponsored a fundraising event for Labour election candidates, but it did not organise the event as we said ( Stop accepting freebies from alcohol and junk food makers, MPs told , 31 August, p8).

    • A review of Brian May: The Badgers, the Farmers and Me on BBC Two said culling badgers costs the taxpayer around £100m a year; that is the annual cost of tackling bovine TB as a whole ( May shines thoughtful spotlight on bovine TB , 24 August, p25). And Robert Reed’s farm is in Devon, not Wales.

    • It is Juno and the Paycock playing at the Gielgud theatre, London, not “Juno and the Peacock” (Get Out! See More Culture, Saturday magazine, 31 August, p33).

Grenfell: the lies and greed exposed – podcast was amended on 6 September 2024. The Grenfell fire started just before 1am, not just before midnight as an earlier version said. Ed Daffarn made his prediction of a fire in November 2016, 8 months before the fire, not 6 months. It was also amended to clarify that Tiago Alves did not lose any family members in the fire and that it was Grenfell next of kin who felt the inquiry was getting in the way of justice, not Grenfell United.

Billionaires are endorsing Trump – but is that a bad bargain for them? was amended on 6 September 2024. Due to an editing error, an earlier version said that Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, Sheryl Sandberg, Bill Gates, Laurene Powell Jobs, Larry Page and Sergey Brin have endorsed Trump. It meant to say they have “not” endorsed him. Sandberg and Powell Jobs have publicly endorsed Harris.

    • Other recently amended articles include:
