    9pm, BBC Two

When Hamas rockets appeared overhead at the Nova festival in Israel in 2023, the revellers mistook them for fireworks. The truth was more terrifying than they could have imagined. This horrifying film from Storyville keeps a tight, minute-by-minute focus on the events as they were experienced by the partygoers. There is no exploration of the wider context – “this film cannot tell everybody’s story,” says a disclaimer. But it is a reminder that to fail to sympathise with innocent civilians on both sides of the conflict is to lose your humanity. Phil Harrison

Long Live Israel.... Whatever it takes

Okay, maybe someone can explain something very simple to me. Every street corner in Israeli cities has armed soldiers, but there's a festival and absolutely no troops on the scene. Hamas not only knew where and when to strike but they were confident that they could attack Israel's iron defense and get away before the IDF got there. A really suspicious person might think that was a complete set up to justify butchering 10s of thousands of Palestinians.
