AURORA, Colo. — A 17-year-old boy is in need of our prayers after being seriously injured in a shooting late Tuesday night. The young man was taken to the hospital for treatment after reporting that he was shot by someone on a motorcycle, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The incident occurred near South Peoria Street and East Louisiana Avenue. The boy told investigators that he noticed a motorcycle following him while he was driving. He observed two individuals on the bike, and one of them fired a shot that left him gravely injured.

As we lift this young man up in prayer, we turn to the words of Scripture for comfort and strength:

    • “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
    • “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
    • “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

Let us pray for his healing and for the swift action of justice. The police are actively following up on leads but have yet to make any arrests. We trust in God's justice and protection during these troubling times.

If you or anyone you know has any information that could assist in the investigation, please contact the proper authorities immediately. Your tip could be crucial in bringing those responsible to justice.

At Nieves Ministries, we believe in the power of prayer and the importance of community. Let us come together to support this young man and his family, asking for divine intervention in his recovery and for guidance in finding those who committed this act.

We are stronger when we stand together, united in faith and compassion, if you know anything contact proper authorities
