    Tigers compete at 96th Annual Texas Relays

    AUSTIN   — Dripping Springs was one of several Central Texas high schools that competed in the 4-day 96th Annual Texas Relays last weekend. Among the Tigers were Johnson, Westlake, Bowie, Vandegrift, Anderson, Rouse and Bastrop high schools. In the boys 4x400M relay, the Tigers team consisted of Beckham Kelly, Croix DaCunha, Maddox Maher and Jackson Mills. The team qualified for the finals and finished overall in seventh place with a time of 3:22.55. Also, in the boys 4x100M relay, the Tigers team consisted of Cooper Reid, Jackson Mills, Kyle Koch and Croix DaCunha. They finished with a time of 43.20. In the girls 4x100M relay, the Tigers team consisted of Aranza Gil, Ella Castillo, Lauren Velasco and Kaleigh Howell; they finished with a time of 50.79. Finally, in the girls 4x800M relay, the team consisted of Sofia Vences, Alexa Velasco, Moran Riley and Lucy Fredenburg. They placed overall in 12th place with a time of 9:51.03. The Tigers are preparing for their UIL 26-6A Track and Field District Championship Meet at Burger Stadium on April 3-4.
