Perry man facing federal meth trafficking charges
A Perry County man has been charged in federal court with trafficking in methamphetamine. On June 27, a federal grand jury in London indicted Clifton Plowman, 40, of Easy Drive, Hazard, on charges of possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

Fatal overdoses fall in Kentucky in '23, rise in Perry
While Kentucky is recognizing that, for a second year in a row, overdose deaths fell in the commonwealth, Perry County is not experiencing the same trend.
