Kids are heading back to school and pumpkin spice is hitting the shelves , which means brains have flipped into fall mode for many of us.

But summer's not over yet, so there’s still time to make the most of it.

For foodies, that means hitting up your favorite seasonal spots for summer eats, treats and outdoor dining before the sun sets on them.

If you haven't made all of your warm weather restaurant rounds, clear your schedule this weekend.

Here's a look at some Greater Fall River places to enjoy your last-gasp end-of-summer feasts:

    Pier 52, Fall River

Summer may be winding down, but things are still heating up along the Fall River waterfront.

Create memories on Pier 52's waterfront lawn this Labor Day weekend, with delicious dishes and a music lineup filled with live acoustic sets, DJs, and good vibes.

While you're there check out some new Pier 52 specials, including their chili lime garlic shrimp served with cilantro lime jasmine rice, bok choy, fire roasted salsa and a confit jalapeño aioli. Or start things off with their latest appetizer special — crispy potato pancakes, smoked fish pate, charred cucumber, salmon roe.

Pier 52 is also promoting a Back to School Special to sweeten your return to school. For a limited time, show your valid student ID and proof of a college or trade school acceptance letter and enjoy a free dessert with any purchase. The offer is available through Labor Day weekend.

Pier 52 , located at 52 Ferry St. is set to officially close for the season on Oct 14.

    Tipsy Seagull, Fall River

Pub grub, live music, and tropical vibes await you at the Tipsy Seagull , a Key West-inspired floating restaurant with outdoor bar at Borden Light Marina.

They'll close for the season this fall, but long live summer at 1 Ferry St. until then.

On Saturday, Aug. 31, go "Back to the 80s" at one of their last summer events of the season on the docks. Enjoy live music from “Fast Times Cover Band" at this 80s themed costume party, with a prize (TD Garden tickets to the upcoming Jelly Roll concert) for best dressed.

On their website , their slate of live entertainment continues through Oct. 11. Stop in for end-of-summer fun, drinks and fare overlooking Mount Hope Bay.

    Macray’s Seafood, Tiverton

Enjoy outdoor dining in a tiki-inspired beachy atmosphere — without the beach — with a stop at Macray’s Seafood . There you'll find all your summer seaside classics — lobster rolls, chowder, shrimp scampi, clam cakes — and then some.

Recent specials have included steamers, baked stuffed lobster, crab cake benedict, BBQ pulled pork plate, steamed lobster, and a filet mignon and lobster combo.

And, of course, no end-of-summer feast is complete without a Del's Lemonade, or try their Drinks of the Day.

Macray’s Seafood is located 115 Stafford Road.

    Evelyn’s Drive-In, Tiverton

If your summer foodie quest has not yet included a stop at Evelyn's Drive-In, then now's the time.

The local gem in the heart of Tiverton is a go-to for all your seafood favorites — from clam cakes to chowder to stuffies to fish and chips. Or mix things up with their lobster chow mein (a "Diners Drive-ins and Dives" pick ), lobster BLT, fish or shrimp tacos, or go all in with their 2 Pound Seafood Platter.

Their end of season is drawing near, but has yet to be announced, so don't miss your chance.

Evelyn’s Drive-In is located at 2335 Main Road, Tiverton.

    Bayside Restaurant, Westport

Bayside Restaurant celebrated its 50th anniversary this year and it's no wonder they've been a crowd pleaser for so long.

Highlights that keep folks far and near coming back include their long list of "famous" offerings, including their cornbread, Maple Seafood Medley, baked scrod, and lobster roll.

Other tasty eats you'll find on their menu include Poor Man's Surf N Turf (burger topped with lobster meat), chicken and waffles, fish and chips, seafood chowder, housemade cod cakes, Rhode Island calamari and Portuguese linguica and jack cheese quesadilla.

With a fire pit outside to keep you cozy, you can still enjoy the salty, cool breeze well into the fall. Last year, Bayside remained open through Nov. 12, but no closing date has been announced for 2024.

Bayside Restaurant is located at 1253 Horseneck Road.

    Back Eddy, Westport

Have a drink on the dock or dine on the deck and catch the sunset by the Westport River at Back Eddy's outdoor bar and patio area.

Recent specials have included North Atlantic Salmon, Baby Kale Caesar Salad and Slow Braised Pork and Fried Shrimp.

And while the weather is still on our side, Back Eddy is paired perfectly with a trip to the nearby beaches.

Back Eddy is located at 1 Bridge Road, Westport.

    Ice cream season winds down

As days shift from hot and humid to crisp and cool, the clock ticks of some local favorite ice cream spots.

Savor the summer with a trip to seasonal go-to's such as Seagull Scoops in Fall River , Somerset Creamery and Simcock Farm in Swansea , which are only open into the early fall.

And don't wait to get in on the Sundae Funday specials at Eskimo King in Swansea , which closes for the season Monday, Oct. 14. One recent mouth-watering offering that coincided with Portuguese feast time was the “Mais Fica,” featuring a malassada topped with vanilla soft serve, caramel, a cinnamon sugar sprinkle, whipped cream and a cherry.

Ice Cream Barn in Swansea and Gray's Ice Cream in Tiverton are year-round destinations, but best enjoyed on a warm day.
