    If you’re having a hard time, we’re here to help you narrow it down.

    We've compiled a list of meal deals, special events, and mouth-watering offerings at local eateries and markets to consider when planning your next night on the town, or a quick stop for a tasty treat.

    This week, Chick-fil-A has an event coming up that's perfect for your furry best friends. Plus, we've got brunch, a sandwich special, some fall flavors, and even the return of Bumpy Rhodes ice cream.

    Chick-fil-A ‘Dogs in the Drive-Thru’ event

    The dog days of summer will be getting a special send-off at Fall River’s Chick-fil-A location at 700 William S. Canning Blvd.

    Stop by on Saturday, Sept. 7, for “ Dogs in the Drive-Thru .”

    From 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., bring your dogs through the drive-thru and receive a Chick-fil-A bandana, as well as a treat.

    Limit one per dog, while supplies last.

    Independence Harbor Sunday brunch buffet

    The next Sunday brunch buffet is coming up this weekend at Independence Harbor, 10 Narrows Rd., Assonet.

    On Sunday, Sept. 1, brunch is open to the public, with seatings from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    The menu includes roast turkey, scallop and shrimp scampi, scrambled eggs, deep-fried apple-filled French toast, home-fried potatoes, and more.

    Plus, there will be a roast beef carving station, as well as fresh fruit, salad, and dessert buffets, and home-baked bread and pastry buffets.

    Proper dress and reservations are required.

    The cost is $32 for adults, $19.95 for children under 10, and children under 3 eat for free.

    Grab a coconut shrimp po boy at Barrett’s Waterfront

    Barrett’s Waterfront, 1082 Davol St., Fall River, is putting a spin on the po boy.

    Try a coconut shrimp po boy , on special for lunch this week.

    It’s got shrimp that’s battered with shredded coconut and deep fried, shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced cucumbers, sliced red radish, and remoulade, served on a toasted sub roll and with crinkle-cut fries.

    New outdoor dining at Barca Restaurant

    Enjoy a bite outside, while the weather is still nice.

    Barca Restaurant, 85 Columbia St., Fall River, is offering a new outdoor dining area.

    “Perfect for a relaxing meal with friends or a romantic dinner under the stars,” Barca wrote in an Aug. 25 Facebook post .

    Fall-inspired macarons at Europa Pastries & Coffee Shop

    Europa Pastries & Coffee Shop, 65 Columbia St., Fall River, is shifting into autumn mode.

    They’ve rolled out some seasonal flavors with fall-inspired macarons , with the colors reflective of fall foliage: pumpkin pie, maple spice, and German chocolate.

    Available now, for those who wish to indulge.

    Macray’s Seafood changing to fall hours after Labor Day

    Macray’s Seafood, 115 Stafford Rd., Tiverton, is also shifting into fall mode.

    After Labor Day, they’ll be changing over to their fall hours: Thursday to Saturday, from noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday, from noon to 7 p.m.

    Bumpy Rhodes is back in stock at Village Pizza and Ice Cream

    Village Pizza and Ice Cream, 760 Main Rd., Westport, has announced that Bumpy Rhodes is back in stock .

    It’s espresso ice cream, with chocolate cookie asphalt, broken toffee concrete chunks, and marshmallow-filled chocolate manhole covers.
