Mark Cuban: Trump’s Silicon Valley backers have ‘lost ‎the connection to real world’

Business investor and television personality Mark Cuban slammed Silicon Valley’s support for former President Trump on Monday, arguing that the support for the Republican presidential candidate feels like a “takeover thing.”

In an interview with Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart, Cuban continued to call out Trump’s Silicon Valley backers for wanting as much “control” as possible.

“They want Trump to be the CEO of the United States of America, and they want to be the board of directors that makes him listen to them,” he told Stewart in the interview.

“What is the ethos?” Stewart asked Cuban. “Now it seems much more about sort of this social engineering and transhumanism, and we’re going to join with computers, and together eight of us are going to run everything. Is that the ethos you see?”

Cuban has frequently criticized the former president, calling out Trump’s previous statements on the economy when he was in office and the support he has received from Silicon Valley.

“You know, they’ve gotten to the point now where ‎they feel like they should control the world,” Cuban said.

“Because they have a good photo app?” Stewart argued.

“Because they’re rich as f‑‑‑, right?” Cuban said, adding that “they’ve lost ‎the connection to real world.”
