Bill O’Reilly: ‘I don’t think Obama was a bad president at all’

Bill O’Reilly recently joined NewsNation for a segment titled, “Bill O’Reilly’s Confronting the Presidents: America’s Best and Worst,” where he shared favorable comments about former President Obama.

“I don’t think Obama was a bad president at all. In fact, you could put him in the good category because he uplifted a portion of the population that needed to be uplifted, people of color,” O’Reilly told anchor Leland Vittert.

In earlier comments, he highlighted the 44th leader as “the hardest-working president in modern history.” According to polling from Gallup, Obama averaged 48 percent approval during his time in office.

“We were very fair to Barack Obama in ‘Confronting the Presidents’. We had a good relationship with Obama. I knew what he was doing it, and why he was doing it. And he wasn’t, in his mind, or in my mind, damaging the country,” O’Reilly shared candidly about his new book. “I didn’t think he was damaging the country at all. Obama is the hardest working modern president.”

The remarks were made in stark contrast to President Biden who he said can be found “taking a nap every three hours.”

The former television host said, “Obama didn’t like Biden because Biden was like taking a nap every three hours. I didn’t agree with his mass spending tactics because I don’t think that works in the long run for the working American. Can’t raise taxes the way these guys want to raise them on the Democratic side.”

In addition to his comments on the current political climate, the journalist also highlighted staples of his new book, “Confronting the Presidents: No Spin Assessments from Washington to Biden,” and other past presidents in the interview with NewsNation, which is set to air Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. EDT.
