Progressive immigration group launches one-stop-shop data site

A top immigration advocacy group with deep ties to Democratic officials is launching a website compiling data including polling, disinformation tracking, ad spending and political positioning on immigration.

The Immigration Hub, an organization staffed by former administration and congressional officials and immigration advocates, is making its data public in hopes of flipping the immigration conversation in favor of Democrats.

“Years of polling and research, now available on our site, underscore what we know to be true: immigration is a political winner for Democrats,” Immigration Hub Executive Director Kerri Talbot and Deputy Director Beatriz Lopez said in a joint statement.

“Despite [former President] Trump and Republicans’ persistent attempts to weaponize immigration, demonize immigrant communities and breed xenophobia — the American public continues to overwhelmingly support balanced and fair solutions on immigration that includes border security and pathways to citizenship that keep families together.”

The launch comes as the 2024 presidential campaign enters its final stretch amid an evolving debate on immigration.

That debate, stagnant and laser-focused on border crossings for much of the Biden administration, has taken new directions with reduced border crossings and public debate over the Trump campaign’s elevation of false narratives about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.

Immigration advocates on the left are pushing Vice President Harris’s campaign to pivot from a border-first approach to a holistic border security-and-immigration reform vision.

“The Democrats’ new winning strategy on immigration is no coincidence,” said Democratic strategist Maria Cardona.

“The Immigration Hub has been a driving force in advising Democrats to shift their approach on immigration, having worked with candidates, campaigns, political committees, and the White House for years, telling them that if they wanted to win, they had to go on offense and focus on balanced solutions that marry strong border security with pathways to citizenship for Dreamers and long-term immigrants.”

The new hub features data including memos on ad spending, a measure of each party’s reliance on any issue — immigration in this case — to make its appeal to voters.

“As we head into the last few weeks of this election and with immigration remaining top of mind for voters, we are excited to make years of polling and the latest election ad and media tracking on immigration more accessible to reporters, candidates, and our colleagues,” said Talbot and Lopez.

A lot of people are very upset about this border invasion and I am equally outraged about it as well. My question, however, is what people are intending to do with their outrage. It is pretty clear that Democrats are committed to open borders and this will never change. It is also pretty clear that many people despise Trump. American voters are at a crucial juncture in 2024 and I am very curious as to what all the outraged people are going to do come November. Trump is the Republican nominee, so the only question remaining is whether voters hate Trump more than they hate immigrants being prioritized above American citizens with American taxpayers' own money. If you hate Trump but can't stand this border invasion you have a very difficult choice ahead of you. Vote for whomever you choose but keep in mind that there is no point in being outraged about the border invasion and voting Democrat........
