    Trump promotes high-dollar watch collection

Former President Trump is urging his followers to buy “Trump Watches” priced upwards of $100,000 each, his latest effort promoting branded merchandise while running for office.

“The Official Trump Watch Collection is here, and these Watches are truly special — You’re going to love them,” the Republican presidential nominee wrote on his Truth Social platform Thursday.

“Would make a great Christmas Gift. Don’t wait, they will go fast. GET YOUR TRUMP WATCH RIGHT NOW!” Trump added, linking to a website to purchase the watches.

The linked website includes two watch models: the “Trump Victory Tourbillon,” which comes in three colors and is available for pre-order at $100,000, and the “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT” model, which comes in three colors and is listed as available for pre-order at $499 or $799.

Trump recorded a video for the website in which he touted the quality of the “Trump Victory Tourbillon” watches, noting each comes with a signed letter from himself and only 147 orders of that model will be fulfilled. The second model’s gold tone, priced at $799, will be capped at 1,000 watches.

“We’re doing quite a number with watches, and the quality, to me, is very important. The Trump Victory Tourbillon. This isn’t just any watch. It’s one of the best watches made,” he said, adding later, “Only 147 of these extraordinary watches will ever exist in the world, and owning one puts you in a very exclusive club.”

Trump said the tourbillon watch is made with almost 200 grams of gold and “more than 100 real diamonds,” adding, “That’s a lot of diamonds. I love gold. I love diamonds. We all do.”

“I have watch number one, and I’m going to keep it,” Trump said. “It’s mine, and that’s the way I want to have it. Each watch is numbered and extremely rare, a true collector’s item.”

The website for the watchmaker, TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC, notes the pieces are being sold through a paid licensing agreement. The website states that the timepieces “are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign” and “are intended as collectible items for individual enjoyment only, not for investment purposes.”

This is not the first time Trump has promoted merchandise — digital or otherwise — while running for president. He has previously sold Bibles and sneakers , among other items.

Recently, Trump offered parts of the suit he wore during his June debate against President Biden to those who purchased a new digital trading card. Last December, Trump also released digital trading cards and promised those who purchased 47 of them a piece of the suit he wore when he got his mugshot taken in Georgia.
