Vice President Harris’s support in the state of Minnesota ticked up compared to former President Trump, her political rival, according to a survey released Thursday.

The KSTP/SurveyUSA poll showed Harris had a 6-point lead over Trump, 50 percent to 44 percent, in the state while 4 percent were undecided and 2 percent preferred another presidential candidate.

The Democratic nominee’s lead has slightly expanded since the last iteration of the poll. The August survey had Harris at 48 percent, while the ex-president garnered 43 percent.

Harris’s vice presidential pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), had stronger support in his home state than his GOP counterpart, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), the survey found.

Around 37 percent of respondents said Walz was an “excellent” choice, 13 percent said he was a “good” pick while another 37 percent said it was a “poor” selection. Only 16 percent of Minnesotans said Vance was an “excellent” pick, while 41 percent stated it was a “poor” choice, according to the survey.

The vice president had a wide lead with women, 59 percent to Trump’s 35 percent. The ex-president has around a 12-point cushion among men in the North Star State.

The Democratic nominee had a similar lead over Trump in Minnesota in another poll released a few days earlier. She had 48 percent support while Trump got 43 percent in that survey , from the Minnesota Star Tribune/MPR News/KARE 11 Minnesota.

Nationally, Harris leads the former president by 4.1 percent, sitting at 49.9 percent to the ex-president’s 45.8 percent, according to the latest The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls.

The KSTP/SurveyUSA poll was conducted Sept. 23-26 among 800 Minnesotans. The margin of error was 4.3 percentage points.
