Former President Trump is holding a rally in California Saturday, his Democratic challenger’s home state.

During the visit, the former president will likely hit Vice President Harris over rising costs in the state.

The rare event comes as Republicans seek to maintain their hold on a select number of competitive seats in the Golden State. Polls have shown a slim advantage in many areas for Democrats, and strategists have suggested the rally shows the GOP’s desire to defend or even flip seats in the state.

His comments from Coachella, Calif., are expected to begin at 8 p.m. EDT.
