    Holland Christian 43, Middleville 42

The Holland Christian football team trailed with 1:13 to go and drove the length of the field in a hurry.

With six seconds remaining, quarterback Evan Abberger threw a touchdown pass to Gabe Kanfara on second-and-goal.

Trailing by one, Holland Christian coach Dave Abberger opted to go for two and the win instead of trying an extra point to force overtime.

It worked as Abberger threw the two-point conversion to Josh Bruxvoort and gave the Maroons the win.

The Maroons improved to 6-1 and 3-1 in the OK Blue.

    Zeeland West 38, Wyoming 7

The Dux improved to 6-1 and 3-1 in the OK Green after the win at Zeeland Stadium.

    Fennville 56, Bangor 20

The Blackhawks improved to 3-4 with the road victory in 8-person football.

    Rockford 47, West Ottawa 15

The West Ottawa football team scored first against its OK Red rival Rockford as Ruben Esparza had a 34-yard touchdown run.

But the Rams scored 47 unanswered points until West Ottawa scored on a 6-yard run by C.J. Traylor. Traylor had 52 yards on eight carries. Kayden Forbes had 31 yards on six carries.

West Ottawa's Makai Campos was 14-for-27 passing for 226 yards and an interception. Connor Knapp had eight catches for 130 yards and Abel Anaya had two for 56 yards. Anaya had five tackles on defense.

The Panthers (1-6, 1-4 OK Red) struggled on third down going 4-for-13.

    Schoolcraft 56, Saugatuck 7

Cass Stanberry had 18 carries for 97 yards. Norm Bos had a 7-yard rushing touchdown.

Chris Foley had nine tackles, one for a loss, and Stanberry had six tackles. Carter Miller registered a sack.

The Trailblazers dropped to 5-2 and 3-1 in the SAC Valley.

"Credit to Schoolcraft. They are a good football team that has a lot of offensive weapons and physicality up front," Saugatuck coach Bill Dunn said. "We were not able to get any consistency on the offensive side of the ball. This game was a measuring stick for the team and hopefully, we can get better because of it moving forward."
